Sonic’s Great and Not-So Great Games

Not-So Great

Alright, let’s face it. The blue blur isn’t really what he was before. After Sonic Heroes on the XBOX, PS2, and GameCube, the Sonic series just went downhill. For some reason, people think it was Nintendo. IT WASN’T. I don’t think Nintendo had anything to do with the horrible games being released. I mean, even the horrible games were better than the others. The exception to this is Sonic the Hedgehog on the Gameboy Advance. Anyway, I’ll put some of the horrible games down. Not all at once though.

Shadow the Hedgehog (GameCube, PS2, XBOX)

URG! I HATE THIS GAME! Though it did offer some funny moments (Where’s that damn fourth Chaos Emerald?!), you got to kick Sonic’s whiny @$$ (don’t get me wrong, Sonic’s my favourite character, but his voice seems to be whiny at times), and there were MANY paths, it just wasn’t fun. You couldn’t lock on, so you would keep being hit off the edge from some random enemy. There wasn’t any point being a hero, because the “hero gauge” would fill up and you could use Chaos Control, which usually didn’t help, because you would be transported past important objects. The Chaos Blast you could use when you were Dark helped.

Rating: 5.1/10: Not bad, not good. Not recommended, but you could get it if you want. It’s not that bad, but I really hate it.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Genesis (GBA)

This game is GLITCHY!

The game on the Genesis, the classic Sonic the Hedgehog was great. Sonic the Hedgehog: Genesis… not-so great. I didn’t like this game much, because the GBA screen is so small. It’s hard to see Sonic! Some features are good, like saving and the Spin Dash, but IT WAS SO GLITCHY!

Score: 4.6/10: Not very good. I would recommend it if you have patience and don’t have a Genesis. The good thing about this game is that you can save.
